Bekah and Patrick had the perfect outdoor summer camp wedding in Craftsbury, Vermont. I’ve had the pleasure of shooting here previously during the fall as well (see Katherine and Jeff’s wedding<\/a>) and it is such a blast. If you want to turn your wedding into a private weekend vacation for your guests, this is the place! This budget-friendly summer camp has many cabins for guests to stay in, a dining hall with kitchen that easily seats 200 people, a barn for dancing, a lake, racquetball courts, hiking in the woods…this place has it all!<\/p>\n

They held a private Ketubah signing ceremony in the woods near the lake. I’ve photographed many outdoor ceremonies, but this location holds a special place in my heart. Sitting among the tall forest trees as guests blessed the couple with well wishes was so serene and magical.<\/p>\n

\nThe ceremony under the chuppah took place in a large field, for all 200+ of their guests to witness. Could the weather be any more perfect?! They also had a ring blessing, where their rings were passed among the guests for them to silently wish blessings for the couple.<\/p>\n

Normally I can’t get behind the couple for this type of shot. There’s just not enough time for me to get the ring exchange from the front, and then run around to the back to catch the first kiss (and there’d be a rabbi standing in my way!). But the bride specifically requested I capture their first kiss so they could see all their happy guests in the background, so I worked with the officiant to make sure we could capture everything.<\/p>\n

\nHow awesome is this?! A New Orleans style band led the parade of wedding guests to the reception after the ceremony.<\/p>\n

I’m not particularly fond of cake (I know, who cares what you think Jaclyn, the cake isn’t for you!), but if I was a wedding guest I would be SO EXCITED to see this! Their wedding dessert table included a variety of cakes, pies, cookies, crumbles, and more. Yum!<\/p>\n

Bekah and Patrick added a fun twist to their wedding reception–a dance competition, complete with trophies! Who knew knowing how to do the “sprinkler” and “grocery cart shopper” would one day come in handy?<\/p>\n
